Discord, Today introduced the new In-App currency called Orbs. Earned Orbs can be used to redeem avatar decorations and profile effects on the Discord app.
Orbs is currently in beta testing with limited users globally. Beta users can earn Orbs by interacting with advertiser content like promotional quests which was introduced earlier. You can use Orbs to claim Nitro subscriptions and profile cosmetics without the need for a Payment method.
This is the Good news for Discord users as they can try nitro subscription without spending Real Money. Note: Nitro subscription using Orbs is just a three day trail.
Orbs also allows adverstiser campain launches to be more effortless as they no longer need to come with their own unique reward. Before the orbs was introduced the advertisers need to have own unique discord cosmetics to force users to join in promotional quests. But still advertisers can offer their own reward.
The users will get notification if you selected for beta program. The Global rollout begin shorty after beta testing.
